I actually wasn't sure how I was even going to recap my 2009 reading, then I spotted this meme on Marie's blog and thought, well here's an easy way out! My year in review. Enjoy!

The Time Traveler's Wife - Audrey Niffenegger
Least favorite?
Tie between Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol and Scott Smith's The Ruins. With both I had really high expectations (partially due to hype) and was extremely disappointed.
Any that you simply couldn’t finish and why?
I don't think so - I toughed 'em all out this year!
Oldest book read? Revolutionary Road - originally published in 1961

I think that would be The Christmas Secret by Donna VanLiere.

Zilch. I'm not a borrower really...I buy and trade.

Jodi Picoult wins with 2. This is not new as I hope to read everyone of her books.

No re-reads.
Favorite character of the year?
Oh, I really loved Lizzie Nichols in Queen of Babble in the Big City - that girl can't keep her mouth shut to save her life and it cracked me up!
Which countries did you go to through the page in your year of reading? Ireland, Spain, Egypt (and everywhere in between in The Alchemist), the Mexican jungle, all over the U.S. of course.
Which book wouldn’t you have read without someone’s specific recommendation? I wouldn't have read Len Williams' Justice Deferred, which is based on a true story.
Which author was new to you in 2009 that you now want to read the entire works of? Not sure on this one. I guess if it's hard to answer that then my answer is no one, right?
Which books are you annoyed you didn’t read?
More annoyed that I read The Lost Symbol really. It really put me behind about a month in my reading.
Did you read any books you have always been meaning to read?
Yes - I really wanted to read The Time Traveler's Wife this year and finally did it, and I loved it!
